Ian Southam has been in the glass and glazing industry since 1978, where he worked for Nelder & Southam, a local company in Stratford upon Avon, which was part owned by his father. Ian says "Although we are a small business, we will try and offer potential clients the same service that larger companies can offer but at a more realistic price". Please feel free to browse the website and should you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch.

We continue to have a full fitting diary until mid November, so please bear with us as we will try and accomodate all enquiries and treat them all on a 'first come first served' basis.
Services
Replacement windows and doors have improved vastly since the product was introduced to the housing market many years ago.
We use Rehau and KBE profiles both of which are internally glazed for added security and are available in a choice of colours.
All windows have espagnolette locking mechanisms and doors have a five point locking system.
Ian Southam Glazing is a member of CERTASS and offers a 10 year insurance backed guarantee on all PVCu and composite products.
Whoever you choose to install new windows or doors, make sure they are either Certass or Fensa registered.
Client requested plain on the rear elevation, and Astragal georgian bars on the front elevation.
Profile used was Rehau 70mm internally glazed complete with key locking handles to all windows and 5 point locking to doors.
Bi fold doors are becoming increasingly popular and there are a variety of options available to choose from.
We fit Duration and ALUK bi fold doors which are manufactured to a high standard and competively priced.
To meet the requirements for Building Regulations either you or your installer can apply for approval to replace your window(s) and/or door(s) through your Local Authority Building Control, alternatively you can use an installer who is registered to self certify his work through a Competent Persons Scheme such as Certass.
The Certass Glazing Scheme is a Competant Persons Scheme set up in accordance with The Department of Communities and Local Government.
Installers who are members with Certass are able to certify that the installation meets the current Building Regulations.
A misted up double glazed unit can spoil the appearance of any building, whether at home or in the workplace.
We offer a replacement service in timber, PVCu, aluminium or steel frames.
All units are manufactured to a British Standard and are guaranteed for a period of 5 years** providing regular maintenance to the frames has been carried out.
Your timber frames may look in good condition and be suitable to have replacement units fitted.
However, we carry out a test using a Protimeter to determine the moisture content within the timber frame and will advise you accordingly.
Secondary glazing can be fitted with the added benefit of not disturbing your decor as they are fitted to the existing framework.
Another benefit is the reduction of sound.
This can be achieved by creating a larger 'air gap' between the existing window and the secondary.
If you require further sound reduction, this can be achieved by using 'stadip silence' glass which will reduce sound transmission further.
