Services
Heritage Conservatories have been designing bespoke conservatories for many years producing some unique work.
A hardwood Heritage Conservatory is designed to last using all the latest materials and glazing techniques with hardwood from sustainable sources.
UPVC Conservatories as well as Aluminium Conservatories are also available with a full building service working to current Building regulations.
Our Hardwood Conservatories are the ideal compliment for period properties and listed buildings with our traditional approach enabling a conservatory to be designed to match any property.
A Heritage Garden Room is more than just an extension.
Our experience with Conservatories has enabled us to understand the desire for a brighter approach to extending.
A Heritage Garden Room is perfect for the south facing site where overheating is a concern.
A Heritage Garden Room is also the perfect way to comply with Building regulations if a permanent opening is required between the main and new buildings.
Heritage Garden Rooms are also proving very popular as kitchen extensions and dining rooms where a bright and cheerful but more formal atmosphere is required.
Heritage Conservatories' many years of discussing clients needs have lead to many attractive buildings.
At Heritage Conservatories we have found an increasing demand for our buildings to be used in the expansion of the modest kitchen into the most important room of the house, the family living area (a role the average conservatory cannot fulfil due to building regulation requirements).
As they say, 'you'll always find me in the kitchen at parties'.
Frequently a kitchen extensions will involve opening up a section of wall to create one large area incorporating both new and old build.
For Mr & Mrs Turner, the conservatory they inherited when buying their period home was both a gem and a liability.
Obviously, what was once a labour of love by a bygone craftsman had now become a danger zone, with the softwood frames barely able to hold the glass any longer and sections of the building falling out at the slightest vibration.
While the majority of buildings by Heritage Conservatories use the modern "storm window" style of frames and the latest in hi-tech components, our involvement in old and listed buildings has made it necessary to develop our "Conservation Range".
The project was carried out for Graham and Nita Tinn who wanted to make the most of an unsightly area at the back of their house.
The fact that the house was listed made the involvement of a company with the experience of Heritage Conservatories essential.
Heritage Conservatories not only produced, designed and costed the project, but also made the application for planning permission and listed building approval.
Once approval had been given, the old buildings had to be demolished which gave rise to previously unforseeable problems.
