Back in 1982, three friends decided to begin selling and fitting household blinds.
This was no grand scheme.
In truth, it was about making a little extra money; a way of supplementing our regular income.
We had zero experience, but we did have plenty of enthusiasm, determination and a will to succeed.
We began making blinds in a friend's spare bedroom, and in the back of another friends garage.
We soon moved on to using more appropriate premises, and began renting a small unit in Clacton-on-Sea, and from here we were able to employ a few staff that could help out.
