The Window Centre was a childhood dream for Managing Director Chris Maunder.
Chris had always had an interest in joinery and after coming home from school every day he would work with his father in the garden of their St Thomas home making wooden windows and doors.
When Chris left school at 16 he applied to join a YTS joinery scheme but was told he had too much knowledge for a trainee and was invited to train in fabricating aluminium windows instead.
In 1985 the company he was working for started manufacturing UPVc windows.
