Services
Unprotected stained glass will be soaked by the elements, buffeted and eroded by sand blasting winds, attacked by corrosive air pollution that destroys the artistic detail, transparency and vibrancy of coloured glass.
When glass is the primary glazing barrier it will be affected by exposure to differences in temperature over time, this will have a negative effect on the painted glass and enamels these sources of damage are generally referred to as environmental damage, The temperature changes will dislodge and weaken the putty by expansion and contraction cycles.
Storm glazing is used for all type of glass which my suffer from the effects of high winds or vandalism, any bracket system does not offer water proof environmental protection for this we recommend our fully water proof and ventilated system.
We have designed our own non-ferrous bronze brackets which supports the glass.
These have an aesthetically small profile and limit the impact which these protective glazing has on the appearance of the building.
Our bronze bracket system can also facilitate heavy toughen glass toughen glass which is 5 times stronger than normal float glass of the same thickness.
Our system has evolved over the past 25 years and is now the most comprehensive externally ventilated protective glazing system made on the island of Ireland.
A custom made non-ferrous powder coated thin profile framed system.
This allows the protective safety glass to be supported and creates a water proof protection from corrosion and damage.
Our custom made precision environmental protective vented glazing system utilizes our revolutionary ventilation system.
This allows air to circulate freely within the new compartment.
This processes involves removing the original glass from its location/Groove, and refitting it it within an independent new frame which will support the glass further within the window frame or building.
Original glass is released from the builds structure and will no longer be affected by any damage caused by the buildings subsistence.
Frame allows the glass to be removed for future maintenance without the potential for damage to be caused.
We have designed our own frame system for 'isothermal' using non-ferrous metal frame which supports the original glass and is secured non-obtrusively into the window arch.
Many of our Churches throughout Ireland have had storm glazing or protective anti-vandalism secondary glazing installed that has lead to the damage and accelerated deterioration of the glass and lead network which these systems where intended to protect.
These faulty systems trap moisture and condensation between the glass and the storm glazing glass which will continually erode the glass, deteriorate the lead, putty and rot a wooden frame.
Proper venting is critically important for the preservation of your stained-glass heritage.
