Founded in 1999, Colchester Glazing Company Ltd are one of the largest independent emergency glazing companies in the local area.
Our family run company started out by providing minor glazing work to small commercial and domestic customers.
We have built up our workforce by welcoming insurance work for large companies, domestic and commercial and we now provide additional services over our glass counter for trade and public sales.
Our glaziers have an understanding that is second to none regarding the fitting of glass to shop fronts and commercial premises, that's why we are trusted by dozens of countrywide insurance companies to carry out their work.

At the age of 16, I started in the industry doing an apprenticeship with Kent Blaxill.
This is where I learnt to glaze, and through working there I grasped the art of making stained glass windows.
I then moved around different companies for some years, finding myself in the automotive glazing industry.
From there, I went on to become a Manager of several branches within the UK.
After some years, I moved back into domestic/commercial glazing when I became a manager at High Way Glass.
I thoroughly enjoyed being back in the industry I felt most comfortable in but I still felt that something was missing.
This is where I learnt to glaze, and through working there I grasped the art of making stained glass windows.
I then moved around different companies for some years, finding myself in the automotive glazing industry.
From there, I went on to become a Manager of several branches within the UK.
After some years, I moved back into domestic/commercial glazing when I became a manager at High Way Glass.

The fitters were lovely blokes, very punctual and tidy.
All the work was carried out to a high standard and they were the only company that would fit the job in so quickly.
