With no capital to speak of and an old van, he advertised locally and gradually built a client base.
He moved to a house adding an office to the rear, and used the garage as a workshop so that he could cope with the way the business was growing.
Wanting to take advantage of his business success, and to expand further, he then sub-contracted as a window installer.
In 1990 he employed his first apprentice and invested in more equipment, a better van and he rented larger workshop premises.
By this time be was able to offer a fully comprehensive 24 hour glazing service doing anything from a pane of glass 6 inches square up to a whole shop front, plus supplying and fitting UPVC windows, doors and conservatories.
