In the last 20years, we have become a maintenance window & door repair services company replacing misted up double glazing panes in PVCu, Aluminium and Velux Windows as well as Door and Window locking mechanisms and any other faults associated with PVCu Windows and Doors.

Richard Singleton provides misted up double glazing services in Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and North Nottinghamshire area.
In the trade we say that the double-glazed sealed unit has 'broken down'.
This means that the perimeter edge seal has lost its integrity and that it is letting in moisture somewhere.
Richard Singleton would like to point out at this stage that the perimeter edge seal is not the black rubber seals that you can visibly see at both sides of the Double-Glazed Unit.
The unit has its own seal which you cannot see once it has been installed.

Richard Singleton will fix cat flaps into your existing PVCU Doors.
The flap cannot be fitted into your existing glass as the hole cannot be cut into the Double-Glazed Unit.
A new unit will have to be supplied with the correct diameter hole to match the cat flap.
We can, however, fix it into your door if you have half plain white panel installed into the bottom half of your door.

The most common fault associated with PVCu Doors is the failure of the Multipoint Locking Mechanism.
If the Door is difficult to lock when pushing the handle upwards it can be cured with a few minor adjustments, but if left it will put pressure on the centre gearbox of the locking mechanism causing it to break and having to be replaced.
We stock most parts for the repair or replacement of broken locking mechanisms and at the same time of fitting the new lock we will re-align the door if possible whilst we are there to ensure the lock will not jamb again and give many years of trouble free service.
